Does it leave a little bit too much space in between your lines when you double space it?  If so, you may want to 1.5 space your text!  This keyboard shortcut works perfect in Microsoft Word!

If youre a fan of underlined text, then this is the tip for you!  Im constantly underlining the titles of worksheets or key words in a document... and this definitely saves some time!

This tip works in Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and on Blogger!!!

My students always LOVE reading all of the No, David books by David Shannon, and I came up with a really fun activity for them to go along with the books... a puppet!  Its the perfect activity to introduce classroom management at the beginning of the school year!


I included 10 different writing options... perfect for all of the elementary grades:

1. David’s Body – without any text
2. David’s Body – with Name/Date on arms and room for an illustration
3. David’s Body – with large primary writing lines and room for a picture
4. David’s Body – with medium primary writing lines and room for a picture
5. David’s Body – with small primary writing lines and room for a picture
6. David’s Body – with writing lines and room for a picture
7. David’s Body – with large primary writing lines, no room for a picture
8. David’s Body – with medium primary writing lines, no room for a picture
9. David’s Body – with small primary writing lines, no room for a picture
10. David’s Body – with writing lines, no room for a picture

You can pick the writing paper that works best for your students, or pick multiple papers to differentiate!

There are also additional writing pages available for each of the levels so that your students can attach multiple pages on their puppet! 

It also has two options in terms of the thickness of lines... As far as the line thickness, I like to use thicker lines with my Kindergarten students so that they can color in the lines easier, and in the past I’ve used thinner lines with older students so that they don’t assume you’re giving them a “baby” coloring page!

So many products on TPT have two options: a color version, and a black and white version.  But how do you make that color version turn to black and white with ease?  Well its time to learn how... and its time for another installment of Technology Tuesday! 


 


Now, onto the tutorial!  I separated it into three parts:

1. In light blue, youll find the directions for how to turn individual clipart images to black and white.
2. In bright blue, youll find how to convert an entire PDF file to black and white on a PC.
3. And, in purple, youll find how to convert an entire PDF file to black and white on a Mac.  

As for next weeks poll, Im going to add another option that is requested by two fellow bloggers... but I can only seem to find the comment from one of them!  Mercedes from Surfing to Success had asked how to save a PowerPoint with a transparent background...

Hey everyone!  Here we are again with another new Prezi... the -un word family!  If you havent checked out Prezi yet, you have to!  Its perfect for use on the smartboard, computers, or iPads!  This one I am particularly proud of one thing... the animation I made for the word bun!  My lovely neighbor was nice enough to teach me the basics of Adobe Flash and I finally did something really cool with it!
