What Did They Say Wednesday! A Linky Party!

One of the best parts of being a teacher is getting to hear all of the hysterical things that kids say!

What Did They Say!?

This weeks story is a reminder that you have to always be careful what you say!

In drawing a picture of myself, I drew flats on my feet.  The kids had asked me why I didnt draw high heels for myself. I said "I usually wear flats so thats what Im going to draw. Maybe two days later, I wore a pair of heels to work. One of my girls comes up to me at the beginning of the day and says "You lied to us." Im shocked... since it was first thing in the morning and I had barely said anything.  I say "What?" not having any idea what she was talking about. She obviously reminded me about the picture I drew of myself the other day (which i had totally forgotten about!) Go figure!  I had to explain that "usually" doesnt mean "always!"

Now... its time to share your cute kids story from this week!

What Did They Say! Wednesday! A Linky Party!

Even when life is throwing lots of curve balls, the kids can always find a way to make me smile!

What Did They Say!?

This weeks story is proof that kids will support their teacher no matter what!

One of my students told me that she spoke Spanish.  I asked her “Como se llama?” She looked at me blankly. I said “Me llamo Ms. Jessica.” Again, a blank stare.  So I ask, “What words do you know in Spanish?” Her spunky response... “Como esta?” and “Capische!?”

Gotta love it!

What Did They Say! Wednesday! A Linky Party!

I love how funny my students are without even realizing it!

What Did They Say!?

<div align="center"><a href="http://blogspot.com/" title="What Did They Say!?"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OIhmtxluCS0/ULwEfazkl1I/AAAAAAAADpM/MMMzxm23B0Y/s320/What+Did+They+Say+Wednesday.png" alt="What Did They Say!?" style="border:none;" /></a></div>

This is a story that goes to show how confused students can be about money!

One of my girls was talking about her dads new phone.  She said "I want to download Temple Run on it but I cant because its 99 dollars!"

I tried to explain to her that it was 99 cents, but she insisted that since it had the dollar symbol ($0.99) not the cents symbol that it must be dollars!

I dont even know how to begin to explain that concept of decimals and parts of a dollar to my class!  She was so adamant that it was 99 dollars I couldnt think of any way to convince her otherwise!

What Did They Say! Wednesday! A Linky Party!

One of the best parts of being a teacher is getting to hear all of the cute and innocent things that kids say!

This weeks story is proof that kids will support their teacher no matter what!

During prep, the teacher was handing out stickers after she taught them Social Studies.  I was joking around trying to get a sticker from her, saying, "I was here the whole time, can I get a sticker too?!"

My kids ALL backed me up and said "Yeah, she was here the whole time and she behaved, she should get a sticker!"  Meanwhile, I was barely in the classroom!

These kids are the best!

Hackers to Destroy Facebook on November 5th What Should You Do

Anonymous, the online hackers group has announced very dangerous news, the hacker team intend to make a huge attack on Facebook on November 5th to destroy the biggest social network ever.

Earlier this year, founder of Wikileaks Julian Assange mentioned in an interview with Russia Today that Facebook is the most appalling spy machine that has ever been invented. Thats exactly what the hackers believe on and this is the reason behind the upcoming big attack.
Attention citizens of the world,

We wish to get your attention, hoping you heed the warnings as follows:
Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed. If you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom of information then join the cause and kill facebook for the sake of your own privacy.

Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world. Some of these so-called whitehat infosec firms are working for authoritarian governments, such as those of Egypt and Syria.

Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your "privacy" settings, and deleting your account is impossible, even if you "delete" your account, all your personal info stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time. Changing the privacy settings to make your Facebook account more "private" is also a delusion. Facebook knows more about you than your family. http://www.physorg.com/news170614271.htmlhttp://itgrunts.com/2010/10/07/facebook-steals-numbers-and-data-from-your-iph….

You cannot hide from the reality in which you, the people of the internet, live in. Facebook is the opposite of the Antisec cause. You are not safe from them nor from any government. One day you will look back on this and realise what we have done here is right, you will thank the rulers of the internet, we are not harming you but saving you.

The riots are underway. It is not a battle over the future of privacy and publicity. It is a battle for choice and informed consent. It’s unfolding because people are being raped, tickled, molested, and confused into doing things where they don’t understand the consequences. Facebook keeps saying that it gives users choices, but that is completely false. It gives users the illusion of and hides the details away from them "for their own good" while they then make millions off of you. When a service is "free," it really means they’re making money off of you and your information.

Think for a while and prepare for a day that will go down in history. November 5 2011, #opfacebook . Engaged.
This is our world now. We exist without nationality, without religious bias. We have the right to not be surveilled, not be stalked, and not be used for profit. We have the right to not live as slaves.

We are anonymous
We are legion
We do not forgive
We do not forget
Expect us

What Should you do now ?

Actually we cant confirm this kind of news until we see it live. But anyway you have to make preventive action to save your contacts, images, notes, statuses, tags and more in few simple steps .

Step 1 : Open your Facebook account then go to Account > Account Settings

Step 2: Click on Download a Copy.

Step 3: Facebook will send you an email within few ours.

Step 4: Once you recevied this email, repeat step 1 and 2, you will find the below page, enter your password and download all your data.

UPDATE: Anonymous hackers team has announced through their Twitter account that the attack on Facebook will be done via only some of Anonymous members and not all of Anonymous agree with this attack.
OpFacebook is being organised by some Anons. This does not necessarily mean that all of #Anonymous agrees with it.
