Jailbreak 4 3 5 iPad 2 JailbreakMe
Earlier today Apple has released the unexpected iOS 4.3.5 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad to fix a security issue. No doubt that theres many iPad 2 users have accedintely hit the update button. So far theres no strait way to Jailbreak 4.3.5 iPad 2.
There is only way to Jailbreak 4.3.5 iPad 2 so far, but its only work with iPad 2 Wifi (not compatible with 3G iPad 2) as Jailbreak 4.3.5 iPad 2 based on downgrade process which doesnt work with those 3G iPads
Gevey SIM Unlock iPhone 4 on 2 10 04 3 10 01 4 10 01 is illegal Warning
If you intend to buy Gevey SIM to unlock you iPhone 4, I think you should wait. MuscleNerd of iPhone dev-team has announced some bad news about Gevey SIM which unlock iPhone 4 basebands 2.10.04 / 3.10.01 / 4.10.01, MuscleNerd said that Gevey SIM is illegal in USA and probably other countires as it dials 112 (emergency) then hang up.
Likely the carriers will block the SIMs that are causing the repeated emergency call hang ups, and if you change the blocked SIM many times, you yourself will get banned by carrier.

Likely the carriers will block the SIMs that are causing the repeated emergency call hang ups, and if you change the blocked SIM many times, you yourself will get banned by carrier.
That "dial 112 then hang up" in gevey http://is.gd/FGNeJi is illegal in USA, and probably other countries. Buyer beware. So the question is can the hackers improve Gevey SIM to work legally? Unfortunately, MucleNerd confirmed that there is no way to make Gevey SIM method legal. So I highly recommend who is looking for unlock to wait for ultrasn0w from the dev-team.
If you’ve been eagerly waiting for iPhone Dev Team to release a software solution to unlock your iPhone then may have also heard about a SIM card hack called Gevey SIM.
Gevey SIM Interproser doesnt need users to jailbreak their iPhone but works by forcing the activation of the baseband using the emergency dialer. It can unlock iPhone 4 basebands 04.10.01 (bundled with iOS 4.3, iOS 4.3.1), 03.10.01 (bundled with iOS 4.2.1), 02.10.04 (bundled with iOS 4.1).
This is how it works:
SIM card holds many different types of information, but the part most involved with carrier lock is the IMSI number, which is a unique code that corresponds to your account in the mobile carrier’s database.
A sample IMSI might look like this
310 150 987654321
The first two segments are known as Mobile Country Code (MCC) and Mobile Network Code (MNC) respectively, and in the example above the IMSI indicate the SIM is from USA (310) AT&T (150).
When the iPhone baseband is loaded into memory, it checks the MCC and MNC against its own network lock state stored in the seczone. If the combination is allowed, the cell radio is activated and vice versa.
The earliest iPhone baseband revisions only check IMSI twice following a restart, therefore it is very easy to send spoof information in order to bypass the check. Nevertheless, the baseband was soon updated to validate SIM more aggressively and the method soon became obsolete. [..]
[..] Apparently somebody figured out that while the i4 baseband has been patched to prevent test IMSI from working, it is still possible to force activate the baseband using the emergency dialer.
It works if
A.your network handles 112 calls properly according to the GSM standard;
B.they are lax on TMSI management and does not actively validate your IMSI again for incoming calls.
Unlike its ancestors, the i4 SIM interposer is not a drop-in-and-forget device. The exact precedure must be performed should the device restart, lose reception for an extended period of time or move to another PLMN. In all these situations the TMSI expires and has to be obtained again. Theoretically it is possible for a daemon to automate the process similar to ZeroG, but that only makes thing more convoluted.
You can checkout the video of an iPhone 4 unlocked using the Gevey SIM hack below:
Now for some bad news. Since the hack works using the emergency dialer (by dialing 112), it is illegal in the US and probably in other countries.
MuscleNerd, member of the iPhone Dev Team has also warned users from using the Gevey SIM card hack:
That "dial 112 then hang up" in gevey http://is.gd/FGNeJi is illegal in USA, and probably other countries. Buyer beware.
Since the Gevey SIM Interproser fakes your handset’s identity, you also run the risk of your carrier shutting down your account for breach of contract:
SIM interposer should not harm your phone hardware, however your network could request IMEI and identify your device during the emergency call, leading to your handset getting banned. Your identity cannot be faked and it is possible that they will shut down your account. There is a reason why SIM cards remain legally the property of the service provider: you are not supposed to tamper with them without breaching contract.

Ultrasn0w Fixer Brings Ultrasn0w Compatability To iOS 4 3 2

Since Apple dropped the newest firmware for our iOS devices, some unlockers have already updated to the newest firmware using either custom PwnageTool bundles, or the newly updated Sn0wbreeze. The main problem now, is that with new firmwares, come compatibility issues. The main affecting “Unlocked” iPhone users, both 3GS and iPhone 4, is to Ultrasn0w. Not anymore. DJayB6 has updated the Ultrasn0w fixer tool, and hosted it on his own repo..
Features
- The fix works for both iphone 4 and 3GS
- Fixes the one bar bug, and ultrasn0w in general
- This is made specifically for 4.3.2
- Ultrasn0w without the fix breaks wifi
1. Before adding Ultrasn0w, you need to add the fix. It will then add Ultrasn0w as a dependancy.
2. In Cydia add the repo http://djayb6.com
3. Then install Ultrasn0w fixer
4. Thats it. Enjoy!

FixRecovery Updated 4 3 supported
Ive set up a couple downloads for the external fixrecovery app (based on the amazing greenpois0n by Chronic-Dev) These zip files contain windows and osx executables for 4.2.1 and 4.3. Unfortunately, there isnt currently a way for me to put all of this in a single executable. Im working on packaging this all together with TinyUmbrella but its tedious since it requires separate executables currently. Ill clean that up soon. I just wanted you all to have the ability to RESTORE your iPhone 4 to 4.3 and keep your 01.59 baseband and be able to get out of the ensuing recovery loop.
USAGE:
Once youve restored your device to 4.2.1 or 4.3 and have entered the dreaded recovery loop
KILL ITUNES
Put your device into DFU
Run the appropriate executable ie. fixrecovery421 for 4.2.1
...???
Profit - you should see the activation screen shortly...
Note that this app does /NOT/ hactivate. You must have a valid/official sim to activate your phone.
Enjoy

A way to update iPhone 4 to iOS 6 without updating the baseband
Recently I was looking for a method to do this and found nothing.
So I tried and figured a method out.
iTunes updates the firmware(baseband) after updating the system, so we can prevent iTunes from updating baseband after the system is updated.
You need to do the following x steps:
1.backup your 5.x shsh blobs
2.run redsn0w0.9.13dev4, select Extra->Even More->DFU IPSW to make a "DFU IPSW" of 6.0
3.add ".zip" to the file, unzip, delete all file that the name contains "04.12.02" in folder "firmware"
4.create a zip file and rename back to .ipsw
5.boot the device to DFU mode, open iTunes, restore iPhone using the new ipsw
6.you will receive an error during the process, and your phone will enter "Recovery Mode"
7.enter DFU mode again, open redsn0w 0.9.13dev4, click "Select IPSW", select the new IPSW, and click on "Recovery Fix"
8.reboot the phone and you will enter iOS6.
If you use ultrasn0w to unlock or need to put activation ticket, etc. You must jailbreak it and you need to connect the phone every time it reboots.
This a screenshot of my phone after updated to iOS6.

I posted this on a Chinese forum and someone got his phone successfully updated:

Jailbreak iOS 5 On iPhone 4 3GS iPod Touch 4G And iPad 1 Using Redsn0w 0 9 9b5
Phone-Dev team has just released an updated version of redsn0w, redsn0w 0.9.9b5 to jailbreak iOS 5 final version for on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, and iPad 1. Redsn0w 0.9.9b5 bring a new “Custom IPSW” feature which can be used to create custom IPSW (pre-jailbroken) file, this feature will also preserve your baseband so that your can unlock your device later on.
This new “Custom IPSW” feature works for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS for now but it will be expanded later on. Redsn0w 0.9.9 b5 is currently available for Mac OS only but a Windows version will be released very soon.
Release Notes of Redsn0w 0.9.9b5:With today’s official iOS5 release, redsn0w has been updated to 0.9.9b5 to include the public URLs for the IPSW files. This way, first-time iOS5 jailbreakers don’t need to supply the IPSW file manually. It’s still a tethered jailbreak on all except the old-bootrom iPhone3GS, and it doesn’t apply to iPad2 or the upcoming iPhone4S.Remember: If you rely on unlock DO NOT jailbreak directly using redsn0w, you need to create a custom IPSW and restore it manually in order to preserve baseband. On windows you can use Sn0wbreeze 2.8b8 to create (pre-jailbroken) IPSW file with baseband preserved.
Because the jailbreak is currently only tethered for most devices, we’re not going to release a new PwnageTool yet. Instead, we’ve decided to build some of PwnageTool’s functionality into redsn0w (since you need redsn0w to “Just boot tethered” on every power cycle anyway). The new “Custom IPSW” button on the Extras screen will create a custom IPSW without the baseband update for 4.3.3 or 5.0gm (iPhone3GS and iPhone4 only, for now). Remember to NOT accidentally restore to the stock IPSW after you create the custom one! The custom one begins with NO_BB_ (for “no baseband”). On Mac iTunes, you select an IPSW by holding down the Option key while clicking “Restore”.
You must enter “Pwned DFU” mode before trying to use the NO_BB_ IPSW with iTunes (and your hosts file cannot be pointing to Cydia’s servers due to the new blob nonce mechanism they’re using in iOS5).
Version 0.9.9b5 is available only for Mac for now, until we can do more testing on the Windows version of “Custom IPSW”.
We’re currently working on a normal compatibility update for existing ultrasn0w unlockers. After that we’ll try to fix the iBooks issue on jailbroken iOS5.
How To Jailbreak With Redsn0w 0.9.9b5:
Step 1: Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes.
Step 2: Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left. Now hold down Option and click the Restore button. Restore is preferred as it won’t create any wasted space on your iPhone.
(You can skip this step if iOS 5 is already installed on your device)Step 3: Download (link) and Launch the redsn0w 0.9.9b5 for Mac OS
Step 4: Once RedSn0w opens click the Jailbreak button
Step 5: Plug your iPhone into the computer and make sure its OFF then click the Next button. RedSn0w will now guide you through the steps to get into DFU mode.
- Hold down both the Home button and the Power button for 10 seconds.
- Release the Power button and continue holding the Home button until RedSn0w detects the device.
Your iPhone will now reboot
Step 6: RedSn0w will now prepare the jailbreak data
Step 7: Select Cydia from the list of options and click Next.Your iPhone will now be rebooted again and RedSn0w will begin uploading the new RAM Disk and Kernel.
Step 8: Once this is complete you will be notified that RedSn0w is done. When your iPhone finishes rebooting (5 minutes or so) it will be jailbroken and running iOS 5 final version.Booting In Tethered Mode:
Once you have jailbroken you will need to rerun redsn0w to boot tethered.
Step 1: From the main RedSn0w menu click the Extras button.
Step 2: Select Just boot from the Extras menu to just boot tethered.
And that was it, happy jailbreaking! If you face any problem during this process feel free to ask for any kind of help.

The new hack comes from a group of Chinese hackers calling themselves the “CD-Dev Team.” According to the team’s account on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging service similar to Twitter), the hackers had originally wanted to just run a small test, but the code was leaked. Now their servers can’t keep up with the demand. But beyond server unresponsiveness, there are several other good reasons to skip this hack, including the fact that it seems to break people’s phones and involves running illegal code. H1Siri (aka, Hi Siri!), for those of you tracking the Siri-hacking space, is a different hack from the one that emerged in October and the other arriving last month. According to iDownloadBlog, which wisely advises readers to be wary of this new port after its own tests with H1Siri failed, the new port involves the use of copyrighted binaries from the iPhone 4S. Simply put, it works because it uses illegal code. Notable iPhone hacker @chpwn (Grant Paul), confirms this. He also points out another good reason to think carefully before installing H1Siri on your iPhone 4: it gives the software’s creators access to your personal data: Those are all very good reasons to avoid H1Siri, but if your Siri lust can’t be assuaged, maybe this last bit of info will: the darned thing doesn’t really work. Numerous posts from brave (crazy) early adopters report various complaints after installing. For example, it has been said to cause random reboots, break the camera, brick the phone, mess up the Settings app, cause the phone to get stuck at the Apple logo and other such things. | ![]() |
